Fixture Information

Kent go in search of their first win of the season when they welcome Durham to the St Lawrence Ground for a Clydesdale Bank 40 match.

Rob Key's side kicked off this new competition with a six-wicket defeat at the hands of Warwickshire last week whereas Durham, with an injury ravaged attack, gave young bowlers Chris Rushworth and Will Gidman a chance to shine and they didn't disappoint. Both played a part as they skittled out Hampshire for a meagre 115 in pursuit of 264 – a total boosted by half-centuries from Phil Mustard and Ben Harmison.

Kent will be looking for a similar result to the last time the two sides met in List A cricket when, in the summer of 2008, the Spitfires romped to an 83 run victory in a Friends Provident Trophy semi-final tie at the Riverside. A masterful batting display from Joe Denly (102) and Martin van Jaarsveld (122 no) helped Kent post a healthy 301-4. Durham were never in the hunt, in their reply, as Yasir Arafat (2-47) and James Tredwell (3-37) saw Kent cruise to victory to setup a final date with Essex. Will Smith (56) and an unbeaten 80 from Dale Benkenstein were the only Durham players to record a worthy contribution. Unfortunately Kent fell at the final hurdle when Essex took glory at Lord's, winning by five wickets.

Fast bowler Makhaya Ntini is set to make his one-day debut for the county after arriving on a five-week deal last week, and he will spearhead an attack boosted by the return of Azhar Mahmood, who was rested for the championship game in the week.
